The name Powder & Smoke comes from the Latin term “parfumus” which meant “through smoke”. Scents in ancient times were applied to the body and air through smoke. Owner Mindy Stewart took the literal meaning and adapted it with the more modern term “Powder” and developed the name of the boutique she has operated for 40 years.
